Books read in 2014

Here’s a list of books I read this year, starting with January and working down through the year. To my surprise, I’ve finished 60 books this year which puts me well in the bibliophile category (more than 50 books a year). I started a bunch more, but I’ve only listed the books I finished.

If a book list were a self-portrait, you’d probably be able to deduce a number of things about me: I’m a parent (via the number of parenting books), I’m writer starting an indie publishing business, I’m interested in tiny houses in living sustainable, and my fiction tastes span literary, mainstream, fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres.

I’d like to hear what you all are reading. Post in the comments what your reading tastes say about you.

Note: I put *asterisks* next to books I liked and would recommend. Books with **two asterisks** are books I really liked. (It’s implied that books without asterisks are books I didn’t like.)
